Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 Jun 2016

This Statement of Privacy applies to xylosystems llc ("xylosystems", "the company", "us", "we", "our"), https://xylosystems.com (our "website"), and services operated by the company (our "services"), and governs data collection and usage. By using our website or services, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Changes to this Statement

We will occasionally update this Statement to reflect company and customer feedback and to support new business capabilities. We encourage you to review this document periodically to be informed of how we are protecting your privacy.

Who We Are

We are primarily a web design and development firm. We developed and maintain a small affiliate network and ad tracking service which allows our affiliate publishers to connect users with advertisers via email, display advertising, social media advertising, etc.

Personal Information Collection And Use

Personal information may include your name, email address, age, home address, phone number, marital status, income, credit history, medical information, education, employment information and social registration numbers.

We currently collect only the personal information necessary to initiate contact with a user who submits their information into our minimal contact form. We do not currently share personal information except as noted below in the "Email and Opting Out" section. We do not currently send out any mass email or text correspondence ourselves.

Our website at https://xylosystems.com is primarily a presentation website and is not directed at persons under the age of 18. Users can submit personal information into the contact form, but this form is currently used only to send an email to a xylosystems administrator and the information is not stored on the server or in a database.

By submitting the information requested, however, you agree that the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy shall govern our use and disclosure of your personal information. When you register with this website, you explicitly authorize us to share your information. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of our Privacy Policy, please do not complete the information request form (i.e., do not register) or otherwise use or access this Site. If you have already registered by completing the information disclosure forms, and you wish to opt-out from receiving more information from us, please see the section below about Email and Opting Out.

We reserve the right in future to use information we have collected for any legally permissible purpose, including selling or transferring such information at any time to third parties for any legally permissible purpose. We will keep this policy updated whenever our use of personal information changes. If our information usage practices change in future, we will use only data collected from the time of the new privacy policy updates forward for any new purposes. Whenever this privacy policy changes materially, we will post a notice on our home page.

Our affiliate network is invitation-only and there is currently no way to sign up and create an account online. Affiliates are identified by number in our system and a username and password is used only for login authentication. It can be convenient for this username to be an email address, but it doesn't have to be one or be personally identifiable in any way. All other business activities such as payments are handled offline. When more business activities are moved online, we will update this privacy policy to detail how we are protecting the privacy of our users.

Our ad tracking web service does not collect or depend on any personal information. When a user clicks on an ad published by one of our affiliates, their click passes through our tracking system, but no personal information is transmitted with the click. The only information the service depends upon is the information commonly sent via the user's web browser, such as IP address, and User Agent, i.e. details about the user's browser make and version, operating system and version, etc. The service uses the third-party MaxMind GeoIP service to geo-locate users by IP addresses and to attempt to identify that IP address's ISP (Internet Service Provider). We do not currently use MaxMind's GeoIP2 service, which could provide non-personally identifiable demographic information such as average income in a user's zip code, but we may do so in future.

Email and Opting Out

We don't currently publish advertising or send anything other than private emails, but our affiliate publishers do. Every email sent by one of our affiliates should have a clear and easily accessible link at the bottom which will allow you to unsubscribe. Our affiliates maintain suppression lists of users who have requested not to receive further communication from them. If you have received an email you think has been sent by one of our partners and you want to be removed from all correspondence from any of our partners, please send your email address to mail@xylosystems.com with the word "unsubscribe" in the subject line and/or the body of the message, and please reference the company information found at the bottom of the email you received. You can email us from the contact form on our website, using the mailto links, or send directly using your own email client. Your email address will be sent to our affiliate partners to be added to their suppression lists within ten (10) business days of your request and will not be shared in any other way. You can also unsubscribe by writing to us at the address at the bottom of this page.

Please note that we can not be held responsible for the business practices of our affiliates, but we do require that all of our business affiliates agree to operate in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations, including regulations relating to CAN-SPAM and rules promulgated by the FTC. If we learn that any of our affiliates are breaching our agreement, we will take corrective action immediately or terminate our relationship with such affiliate.
